This year's survey between 25 and 71 questions, though the exact number depends on your answers. Returning participants whose static information auto-populates can complete it in as few as 14. It should take no longer than 10 minutes for first-time participants and considerably less time for returning participants.
The final results of this survey are anonymized and not for sale. They are only available to participants and our clients. By participating in the survey, you will be added to our exclusive list and receive an email granting access to the data when it is released in the fall.
We began collecting data in 2006 at the request of a small group of New York-based hedge fund GCs frustrated by the lack of transparency in their compensation. The first survey consisted of 90 anonymized data points reported individually and sorted by total compensation.
